I’m a big fan of the monochrome Scandi style of interior design – clean lines, pared back, simplicity – it’s gorgeous. I was excited to receive a package of beautiful pieces from 2shedstudios last week, firstly because I love getting post (who doesn’t?) but more because I couldn’t wait to see what beautiful things were in the box! It was like Christmas 🙂
Henny from 2shedstudios is a Yorkshire based artist who uses her original prints to create beautiful homeware. The Nordic range is inspired by the landscape and architecture of the Norwegian fjords. I was lucky enough to receive a cushion in the anthracite herringbone colourway, a limited edition plant bag, a tea towel in mustard, a wash bag in the nordic buttons print and a porcelain mug (which Mr R has stolen for himself. Rude!).
The pieces are fabulous quality, with the wash bag, cushion, plant bag and tea towel being made from 100% cotton.
The plant bag is a lovely way to display a plant and makes a great alternative to a ceramic pot.
The mustard adds a subtle pop of colour too 🙂
The anthracite colourway works so well in my house as it fits in perfectly with the monochrome theme I have going on. I’m torn between having the cushion on my sofa or my bed as it look amazing in both places. I imagine it’ll float around between the two until I’ve made a decision – it could be a while, as I’m ridiculously indecisive!
Why not give Henny a follow on Instagram or check out her website? She has some beautiful pieces that would make a perfect gift for someone you know (or, like I do, maybe indulge in a spot of self gifting?).
Keep your eyes peeled on my Instagram page for an exciting giveaway coming up soon!
